Saturday Night Live has officially promoted featured players Kyle Mooney, Beck Bennett and Sasheer Zamata to the part of repertory players after Season 41 premiered this past weekend with host and musical guest Miley Cyrus.

Splitsider reports that Mooney was the only one expected to be making the jump to featured player – and seriously, after his impression of Pope Francis during Weekend Update this Saturday we can totally understand why – but per the legendary sketch show's site it looks as if the other two are making the leap as well.

For your viewing pleasure, and ours, check out Mooney's Pope Francis impression below:

Bennett and Zamata, like Mooney, have been holding their own on SNL as Season 40 rounded out last year and Season 41 made way this weekend. Bennet has churned out some hilarious "Office Boss" sketches, in which he is a full grown man acting as a baby, and Zamata keeps the show fresh with her widespread range of characters and impersonations – one of our favorites being FLOTUS Michelle Obama.

And most certainly, this one:

SNL premiered with host/musical guest Miley Cyrus over the weekend. The show was a definite win for the series, and it continues along this coming Saturday with host, and Inside Amy Schumer star, Amy Schumer.

Of course, the following week is the one many are waiting for, as former SNL player and 30 Rock lead Tracy Morgan will be stepping in as host.

So, folks, what are your thoughts on the trio making the jump to the repertory player spot?
