Tupac Shakur's old jailhouse letter for 1995 is on the market, and the late rapper's writing piece is up for sale at $225,000. The legendary hip-hop star wrote a very emotional letter back in the mid-90s when he was incarcerated, which he addressed to Nina Bhadreshwar, who was the editor at Death Row Uncut magazine at the time. Speaking on his signature “Thug life” motto and mission, he breaks down what his time being locked up in jail taught him, and how he may have been ready to give up that life.

He penned, "[Many] never survive the next level of Thug Life."  He wrote, "They become addicted to death. A True Boss Playa knows when to advance...U must play the game, not let the game play u. A regular Playa plays women, a Boss Playa plays life. A Boss Playa is a thinker, a leader, a builder, a moneymaker, a souljah, a teacher and most of all, a Man!” He continued, "I want all my homiez to know there is another level."

The letter is a full 5 pages long, and being sold at a fixed price of $225,000 through a memorabilia site called Moments in Time. It was written while Shakur was incarcerated at New York’s Clinton Correctional Facility while facing rape charges. The letter is actually a response to Bhadreshwar’s original letter, which Shakur says “helped my spirit rebuild” while facing his time.  He also lets her know that the rest of the letter is where his heart was during that time, and that he was only granting her permission to use what was being sent. He makes sure to sign it off by saying that he trusts her with his words.

Shakur’s writings have been surfacing over the years since his tragic murder in 1996. The late rapper was shot down in a drive-by shooting, which still remains a mystery to this day, and has spawned many conspiracy theories, as well as rumors that he may still be alive and in hiding.
