As is per usual with mass shootings – which, by the way, it sucks we even have to say that – there's a constant back and forth from politicians about mental health and gun control. Some believe less guns is the way to stop these attacks, while others claim it's merely taking care of those in our country with mental disorders. But to Republican presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee, "sin and evil" is the real issue, not gun violence.

While appearing in an interview with CNN's Alisyn Camerota, Huckabee was asked about comments the Oregon shooter's father made, in which he was curious how his son was able to "compile13 weapons."

To that, Huckabee didn't seem to believe that the guns were the issue, nor how he obtained the weapons, but why he actually did it.

"I think we always talk about what the weapon was," Huckabee said, "but whether it's a pressure cooker or whether it's a gun, we're dealing with people who are either deranged or they're very focused because they want to kill people in the name of terrorism."

He further commented that we have "not so much a gun problem," but actually "a problem with sin and evil."

So, if it were up to Huckabee, folks, what should we do in the wake of mass shootings? Pray?
