Fat Joe Son with Special Needs: Rapper Shares Heartwarming Facebook Message

Fat Joe shared a very heartwarming message about his first-born son, Joey, who the rapper previously revealed has special needs. The “Lean Back” hip-hop star tributed a post on his Facebook page, where he shared a photo of the two together, confessing why he stays much more private about his oldest son.

“I'm very private with my first born. Joey is special kid full of joy and Love. there's no way you could understand unless you have a family member who has challenges in life. He's my angel and the reason for all my blessings. I Love him to death #godisgreat,” he penned on his profile to caption the photo.

In the comments section, tons of fans, followers, and other parents shared pictures of their own children that have special needs, with very kind messages to Joe about being a loving parent to his child. Tons of users shared their stories about raising, or having a family member, that has special needs, as a way to offer their support. Many also commended the rapper on stepping up to raise his son, as he previously revealed in 2010 that the mother was not around to take care of him.

He spoke with UrbLife at the time, where he made the initial confession that Joey had special needs, stating, "My oldest son is Joey, he's 18. When I had him I was very young." He continued, "He was a special needs child, I raised him with my parents. His mom couldn't handle him, and instead of him going to a center we raised him all of his life. I had to learn the responsibilities of being a parent the hard way."

In addition to Joey, Fat Joe also has two more kids: his second son, Ryan, and a daughter, Azariah. Ryan was born just a few years after Joey, and Azariah was born 11 years following. Although he keeps his personal and family life private, he does share some moments between him and his children on social media. Just two years ago, he surprised Azariah at their home in Miami after he was released from prison for tax-related offenses.
