Steve-O Goes to Jail for SeaWorld Protest: ‘Jackass’ Star Claims ‘Ready’ for Prison?

Let it be known, folks: Jackass star Steve-O is cool with going to jail. Which is good because he actually is going to prison for 30 days after that protest stunt against SeaWorld from back in August.

The former MTV star has reportedly been sentenced to a month in the LA County Jail for the stunt in which he climbed a 100-foot crane and blew some fireworks off the top. Furthermore, he inflated a whale float at the same time. On the whale, "SeaWorld Sucks" was written, naturally.

The stunt was a pretty widely-publicized one, as it resulted in swarms of police and firefighters being called to the scene in Los Angeles.

On top of his sentence, Steve-O has been order to shell out $14,000 to the city of Los Angeles – most likely for wasting the time of authorities – as well as "stay away from the Hollywood Entertainment District," according to Vulture.

They do note, however, that he can enter and leave to get to and from his home.

After word got out, Steve-O posted a rather humorous response, noting that he's "ready to go to jail – not just because it will bring so much attention to the plight of orcas in captivity, but because it's nice to let people know I haven't lost my edge."

He further admitted, "What can I say, I'm a jackass."

And while we might be sobbing over the fact of going to prison for 30 days, Steve-O's decided to make light of the situation. On Wednesday, the comedian (yep, he does stand-up, too) posted a video to Facebook that explained on Nov. 21, "something big" is going down in Austin, TX. He then gave fans the chance to VIP tickets to a taping of his Showtime comedy special taping.

Okay, so it's not really "something big" but at least you'll have VIP access to hang out with a jackass. And that's pretty cool, no?
