Steven Tyler Threatens Donald Trump With Lawsuit For Playing Classic Hit 'Dream On'

Donald Trump really should start asking musicians before using their music! Back in June, he upset Neil Young by playing "Rockin' in the Free World" at a press conference. The latest angry musician to make Trump's list is none other than Aerosmith front man, Steven Tyler, who is not only outraged, but also threatening to take legal action! You shouldn't have continued to play "Dream On," Mr. Trump. Maybe teaching an old dog new tricks really is just as tough as they say it is!

According to Entertainment Weekly, Steven Tyler's legal team sent Trump not one, but two cease-and-desist letters urging the Republican presidential candidate to not use "Dream On" at his campaign events. As stated by EW, the letter read:

"Trump for President does not have our clients permission to use 'Dream On' or any of our clients other music in connection with the Campaign because it gives the false impression that he is connected with or endorses Mr. Trump's presidential bid."

The first letter, which was sent to Trump back in August, obviously didn't have much of an effect; Trump ignored Tyler's request and kept on playing the song at events national wide. This sparked Tyler to send yet another letter, this time with the warning of a potential lawsuit included.

Tyler's threats of battling Trump in court were released this morning. However, according to FOX News, Trump insists that the issue has already been solved. Although no details were given about how he went about making amends with Tyler, at least the two can go back to being old friends again. All copyright issues aside, that is!
