'Gotham' Season 2 Ep 4 Spoilers: Twitter Reacts Corey Michael Smith Nygma/Kringle Twist!

Season 2 of the Batman prequel series, Gotham, continues on Fox. During last night's Episode 4, Twitter had lots to say about the shocking twist between Edward Nygma aka The Riddler (Ben McKenzie) and Ms. Kristen Kringle (Chelsea Spack).

In our previous recap, while Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) watched Alfred (Sean Pertwee) put the moves on Leslie (Morena Baccarin), Jerome and Barbara held a charity benefit hostage. As Jerome held a knife to Bruce's throat, Theo switched sides, pretending to be the hero, and stabbed in the throat. Because the media played his laughter nonstop, Jerome's insanity spread across Gotham, inspiring the psychotic child who would become the Joker.

In our recent recap, while Theo Galavan (James Frain) announced his candidacy for Mayor, he was also holding the Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor)'s mother hostage. As Penguin followed orders and committed murder, Jim (Ben McKenzie) found himself in charge of the strike force against the king of Gotham. While the murder count grew, the romance between Nygma and Kringle grew, leading up to their first kiss.

In an interview with i09, Smith reveals he will be more involved in the upcoming episodes, 6 and 7, "It's pretty bada**. I'm a little biased because it is my apartment but it's really awesome. They went all out, it's super kitschy and creative - there's so many little details that are so Nygma, lilt the place mats are bubble wrap, the kitchen is filled with tools for gastronomy. It's amazing, really clever and totally within the aesthetic realm of Gotham."
