Civil rights activist Jesse Jackson visited Lamar Odom at Sunrise hospital. Jackson spent about 30 minutes with Odom as he gave the media an update on his condition. Jackson also confirmed Kobe Bryant's visit, as the current "best player in the NBA," LeBron James, sends a message to Odom via Instagram.

According to Jackson, as reported by In Flex We Trust, Odom is on life support and is not responsive right now, but doctors feel he is doing better today than he was doing yesterday.

As per Lakers reporter for the OC Register Bill Oram,

"Doctors felt he is much better off today than he was yesterday. At least there is some responsiveness now. He had signs of responsiveness, to that extent that's good news. He's not talking. He's got tubes running out. But we felt inspired by his presence, we had prayer. I won't use the term stable or critical. He looks critical to me. He was non-responsive yesterday, they said he's responsive today."

Given tubes running out of Lamar, is that considered life support? "I would think so," Jesse Jackson said. "If he continues to recover he may be off that soon."

"Khloe is by his side. He is unconscious but doctors say he is recovering. I understand that Kobe visited him last night while he was in the city. ... Hoping he will bounce back."

Jackson says a couple of Odom's childhood friends from New York are also by his bedside.

"Khloe is by his side and that must be some source of consolation." On Khloe, Jackson says,"She's strong and she's hopeful and she's acting and loving and by his side. It was a great joy to see him by her giving him embraces, giving him care and being by his side."

Jackson says Khloe is "so serious and when he does wake up he will see her right there in the room with him."

"We certainly hope he comes out of this, it seems he will."

Now, according to TMZ and ESPN, Jackson was only allowed to visit for a few minutes and that much of the medical information he has provided is wrong. TMZ spoke with a source who told them that Odom is still unresponsive and that he suffered multiple strokes just yesterday. As per ESPN, Odom is currently fighting for his life, as the next 48 hours are "critical."

The Nye County Sheriff's Department will hold a press conference at 7 p.m. ET to provide an update on the situation. So it seems, you'll have to wait 'til 7pm to get a true update on Odom's condition, but considering the fact that Kobe Bryant exited Tuesdays exhibition game due to a lower leg contusion and is currently in Las Vegas, Jesse Jackson's report on Bryant's visit is probably true.

Now, other NBA stars have also reached out via social media. LeBron James took to Instagram to send out his condolences in Odom's current condition:

But LeBron is not the only one, Dwyane Wade, Paul Pierce, DeMarcus Cousins, and Allen Iverson are a few of the many other NBA stars who used social media to reach out and pray for Lamar Odom, as reported by Bleacher Report.

Hopefully Odom will pull through.
