The October 14, 2015 episode of WWE's NXT will air tonight at 8 p.m. Eastern, and the question on everyone's mind is: How do they top NXT Takeover: Respect? A No. 1 Contender Battle Royal for Finn Balor's NXT Championship is scheduled for tonight, so that's a good start. But we've got a full preview for you, so let's get to it.

After Balor and his friend Samoa Joe won the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament at Respect, they decided they should move on to face each other for the top prize in the promotion. Interestingly, General Manager William Regal denied their proposal and instead booked a Battle Royal for the No. 1 Contender for tonight's episode of NXT.

There's no denying that Joe is worthy of a title shot. He was one of the most famous stars on the independent circuit with a recognizable name. He's undefeated since he joined NXT and has taken out the likes of Baron Corbin and Rhyno. He's good friends with Balor, and the two have a mutual respect even if there have been indications of tension between the two in the past several weeks.

The creation of the Battle Royal might lead one to believe that someone else is going to win, but it would make the most sense for Joe to emerge victorious and build a program with Finn Balor. NXT has successfully accomplished face vs. face feuds in the past, most notably the title feud between Sami Zayn and Adrian Neville last year. The developmental promotion is able to use shades of gray to add nuance to these kinds of feuds, and we're confident they can do it again here.

Elsewhere, Bayley and Sasha Banks have ended a feud for the NXT Women's Championship when they main evented Respect with a 30-Minute Iron Woman Match. Bayley is still the champion, so where does she go from here? The recent call-ups to the main roster mean the women's pool is a little shallow, but there are still plenty of viable contenders.

Asuka made an immediate splash when she dismantled Dana Brooke at Respect. Emma won that Fatal Four Way match after NXT Takeover: Broolyn, so she has an argument as No. 1 Contender. And there's always Alexa Bliss, Bayley's real-life friend Carmella or even Eva Marie (based on reports that WWE planned to push her heavily).

Finally, the tag team division in NXT is suddenly brimming with talent and extremely crowded following the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson look to be the next breakout team, but they have stiff competition in Jason Jordan and Chad Gable. The Vaudevillains are still the NXT Tag Team Champions. Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy are former champions who have Alexa Bliss in their back pocket. And let's not forget everyone's favorite tag team, Enzo Amore and Big Cass. Let's see if we get some clarity in the division tonight.
