WGN America sets off with the highly anticipated premiere of Season 2 of Manhattan. In Episode 2, will Abby Isaacs (Rachel Brosnahan), Charlie Isaacs (Ashley Zukerman) uncover Frank Winter (John Benjamin Hickey)'s whereabouts in Fatherland?

Frank is dragged around and finds himself meeting with Occam (Richard Schiff). As time passes by, Frank discovers he is inside a prison. The Warden will not release Frank because he is there off the books for a reason.

As time continues to fly by, Frank analyzes the file given to him by Occam. Hallucinating about Liza Winter (Olivia Williams), Frank realizes his daughter's name in the code. The Nazis have been making their own atomic bomb based on his work.

After Charlie Isaacs shows a film of how far the Nazis have gotten to the atom bomb, he meets with Abby Isaacs . Abby wants to know more about the weapon he is making with the team. With a baby on the way, Charlie has to make a choice to tell the truth.

Louis 'Fritz' Fedowitz (Michael Chernus) joins Paul Crosley (Harry Lloyd), Jim Meeks (Christopher Denham), and Helen Prins (Katja Herbers) as they experiment outside in the desert. Helen believes if they find radiation, they might find out where the Nazis are hiding around the compound.

Frank finds himself inside the cells with another prisoner. He discovers the prisoner also happens to be an American Nazi. The two have been put together to fight and kill each other.  Just as Frank discovers there is a phone line connected to their cell, the duo is suddenly given a bullet and gun.

Later, Charlie reveals that the Nazis may have gotten first to the atom bomb. Abby realizes that if Charlie has pictures of the scientists and names of their families, he should strike first. The enemy won't hold back against using their weapon.

During the campfire, Meeks remembers what happened after Occam's death. After burying Occam's body, Meeks was told someone would come to him with the other half of the message. After Louis 'Fritz' Fedowitz (Michael Chernus) discovers a dead animal in the desert, Meeks wants to bury the thing; because that's what humans do.

After discovering there is no telephone, Frank screams that he doesn't hate Germans because of a ex love; it was his mother. Frank reveals that his mother was German and that he's hated his backstory. The prisoner believes him just as the door to the boiler locks them inside.

As the heat reaches to a boiling point, Frank gives the prisoner his last request and pretends to pass out. After grabbing the gun from his opponent, Frank discovers the weapon is fake. The prisoner gives the signal and the guards rush in.

After proving himself, Frank meets with Col. Emmett Darrow (William Petersen) and discovers the truth. The Americans have been building propaganda against the Nazis by saying the enemy has the atomic bomb. Frank demands to know the truth as he's lung back into his prison cell.
