WGN America is already underway for the highly anticipated Season 2 of Manhattan. The WGN drama, starring Rachel Brosnahan (Abby Isaacs) and Michael Chernus (Louis 'Fritz' Fedowitz), wins big at the 2015 Creative Arts Emmy Awards.

As we previously mentioned, the second season will focus on the events leading up to Trinity test. This is the first detonation of an atomic weapon, which happened 70 years ago. While Charlie Isaacs (Ashley Zukerman) and Abby (Brosnahan) embrace and struggle with their unexpected new power on the Hill, physicist Frank Winter (John Benjamin Hickey), doesn't know how his A-bomb should be used. Meanwhile, Frank's botanist wife (Olivia Williams) battles with the top-secret compound's new commanding officer (William Petersen).

As we mentioned before, the Academy of Television Arts has honored the drama with its first Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Main Title Design. This also marks the first Emmy nomination ever received for original programming on WGN America.

According to TV Line, Manhattan did indeed take home the award for Outstanding Main Title Design. In an interview with Art of the Tile, the credits were designed by Imaginary Forces' Creative Director Dan Gregoras, Art Director Jeremy Cox, and Producer Jon Hasselll.

Cox reveals, "The concept came out of the idea of diagrammatically showing the juxtapositions between home and science that in Los Alamos. Hundreds of the smartest scientists in the country and their families were all suddenly living together in a city that was built for this sole purpose. We kept on referring to this as a sort of colonization of Mars. In many ways they were creating something out of nothing."

The 2015 Creative Arts Emmy Awards will be telecast Sept. 19 on FXX. Andy Samberg (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) will host the Emmy Awards on September 20, 2015.

Manhattan returns at 9pm on WGN America October 13.
