Beyoncé & Jay Z 2005 Split? Tell-All Book Claims Work Demands Caused Break

Beyoncé and Jay Z have been the "It" power couple since they first started dating in the early 2000's. The couple has been through it all over the last 15-years of their relationship, from marriage, to babies, and a multitude of pregnancy and cheating rumors. However, it looks like a new tell-all book might be getting ready to expose some shocking truths about the couple's relationship, one being that the dating rumors that happened between Jay Z and Rihanna, were just that... rumors. J. Randy Taraborelli is writing a tell-all book about the couple and is revealing not only that the Jay and Riri rumors are false, but also that Bey and her now hubby weren't always together, as they actually split up a little ways into their relationship back in 2005.

According to Radar Online, the main wedge that caused drama in their relationship was Beyoncé's work ethic. Taraborelli's book states that it was the pressure from her career that ultimately led to their short lived split.

"He felt that she was too concerned with [work] and overwhelmed by it...She also had a tendency to become moody and defensive when under great work pressure, and it had begun to drive a wedge between her and Jay," the star wrote in the book, available on October 27. "The two broke up for a time during that year. She flat-out told him she needed a break."

However it was during that split that the rumors of Jay dating Rihanna began to make their way to the tabloids. Yet, Taraborelli is finally taking to his book to clear up the rumors, saying, that it was a member of the "We Found Love" star's team that drummed up the rumors as a way to get the young star, who was 17 at the time, a bit of press.

While it got her press, it did cause some trouble in Jay and Bey's relationship when they got back together, as the "Flawless" singer wasn't sure she could trust her man after the rumors, according to In Touch.

"Beyoncé wasn't sure she could trust Jay when it came to his adamant denials," he writes. "She couldn't help but be skeptical."

Yet, the couple got back together and even married a few years later, but Rihanna's name would still be a sore subject in their relationship.
