This past Oct. 21, 2015, was Back to the Future Day, which celebrated the day Marty McFly and Doc Brown went to the future in Back to the Future II to save McFly's snotty, self-entitled kids. (Sound familiar, millenials?) And while the entire world appeared overjoyed and overall obsessed with the day, Jimmy Kimmel Live! was busy getting the real scoop on the day, because the ABC talk show host was able to lock down a reunion with the film with stars Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd.

While doing shows in Brooklyn, Kimmel welcomed in both Fox and Lloyd in character as McFly and Brown to teach the duo from 1985 a couple of things about the real 2015.

Unfortunately, after hearing about some of the oh-so-amazing things we've "accomplished" in the past 30 years, and what we really use telephones for today, the two characters seem to agree that the real 2015 kind of, well, sucks.

After some seriously uproarious applause upon getting out of the DeLorean that showed up upon the Kimmel stage, the crowd was met with a "Great Scott!" from Doc Brown, who surmised that he and McFly had indeed finally ended up in the future.

"Whoa, 2015, that's heavy!" McFly explains. Of course, what he found more heavy was the fact that we haven't figured out flying cars or hover boards.

And, well, the death of Johnny Carson, too.

Kimmel's bit was an undoubted win for fans of the franchise, as it has been seeing a serious resurgence in the media due to the publicity of Back to the Future Day.

So, we've got to ask: How did you watch the video?

Think you know Back to the Future? See if you can get a Great Scott! score on our quiz, folks!
