Hospital Workers Fired for Trying to Photograph Comatose Lamar Odom

Apparently, the chance to make a quick buck at Lamar Odom's expense is getting people fired at the hospital after workers were sneaking around and trying to get a snapshot of the former Los Angeles Lakers star. According to TMZ, a number of Sunrise Hospital employees are being let go from the Las Vegas hospital after they tried to take snapshots of Odom while he was in ICU and comatose after being found unconscious at Dennis Hof's Love Ranch brothel.

The infamous gossip site also claims that some of Sunrise Hospital's employees were even trying to dig into Odom's medical records, which violates HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability) Privacy Rules. The rules protects the privacy of a person's health information and it is a Federal matter when this law is broken.

Before Odom was taken to Sunrise, where he fought for his life and was in a coma for days, there were other similar incidents that happened. TMZ pointed out that his sister-in-law, Kim Kardashian, and pop star, Britney Spears, had their privacy rights broken with during their time in the same hospital. Those workers were also fired during that time as well.

A representative for Sunrise Hospital stated, "We take all patient privacy very seriously and follow all HIPAA policies in compliance with federal regulations." Last week Odom was moved to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles where security has been by his room around the clock.

In another TMZ report, the site claimed that one of the prostitutes partying with Odom during his stay was hired by management and was used to dealing with people who used drugs. The site says that one of the girls that partied with Khloe Kardashian's husband was known to have a "bad reputation."

Other ladies working at the Ranch complained that Odom was encouraged to pick the two ladies in the lineup. TMZ also said that a lot of the workers quit in protest, including the legal prostitute Tristen Lace, who believed that Odom wouldn't be in the shape he currently is in if he had picked wisely.

MStars News has been covering this story heavily since the beginning and have learned that Odom is currently on daily basis after his kidneys have been failing. His wife, Khloe has been right by his side since he was rushed to a Vegas hospital for overdosing on cocaine and herbal alternatives to Viagra.

Khloe finally took a break over the weekend to attend her sister, Kim's, baby shower. In the snapshot below, all of the Kardashian sisters were spotted in matching stripped pajamas lounging for Kim's celebration. The reality star, and her husband, Kanye West, are expecting their second child, a baby boy in December.
