Kristen Taekman Axes 'RHONY' Season 8 Following Husband's Ashley Madison Account

First Heather Thomson announced her exit from The Real Housewives of New York City and now it looks like her best friend Kristen Taekman will also be walking away from the Big Apple. That's right, it was just revealed that Taekman will be throwing in the towel on the show after two seasons co-starring with housewives like, Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, and Bethenny Frankel. Fans were anxiously hoping that Taekman would be appearing on the shows upcoming season 8 after it was revealed this summer that her husband had an account on the Ashley Madison dating website.

However, according to Us Weekly, it doesn't seem like fans will be getting to see how her family has been cooping with the scandal, as she told the site that she was leaving behind reality TV to focus on her fashion career.

"My experience during my time on RHONY was fantastic and I made some great new friends," the 38-year-old explained to the site, according to E! News. "At this time in my life, I have decided to concentrate on my family and my new business ventures Pop Of Color nail polish and Last Night's Look, my fashion blog. I will remain a Housewife and part of an amazing franchise forever and that is what is important."

We previously reported that Kristen's husband Josh had been a member of the extramarital website Ashley Madison, which had a massive security breach over the summer, when users information was released to the public.

At the time Taekman issued an apology for his actions, saying, "I signed up for the site foolishly and ignorantly with a group of friends and I deeply apologize for any embarrassment or pain I have brought to my wife and family. We both look forward to moving past this and getting on with our lives."
