El Rey Network announced Monday that they will continue it's run of From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series with a third season on the way. Robert Rodriguez both founded the latin-themed network and created the hit 1996 Miramax film that inspired the series. The news comes before its Season 2 finale.

"I'm so friggin excited that we are moving forward with another season of From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series," said Rodriguez. "This show has a passionate following, and I just love making it and directing episodes. We have a killer cast and the characters have gotten even more layered and magnetic and I can't wait to take this story even further."

The supernatural drama first came to television by way of Rodriguez partnering with Univision in 2013 and follows the story of brothers Seth and Richie Gecko. Zane Holtz and D.J. Cotrona play the lead roles and are accompanied by Jesse Garcia, Eiza González, Wilmer Valderrama, Madison Davenport, Brandon Soo Hoo, Jake Busey, Danny Trejo, Esai Morales, Jeff Fahey and Briana Evigan. Demi Lovato is signed onto appear in the Season 2 finale.

Miramax's Executive Vice President of Film & TV Zanne Devine joined the excitement about the news and said, "Renewing the show for a third season seemed only natural given the tremendous team involved, led of course by Robert Rodriguez, [showrunner] Carlos Coto, our stellar cast, and our fascinating Dusk universe that is like a never-ending well for unique storytelling."

Miramax produced Season 2 alongside Rodriguez International Pictures, FactoryMade Ventures and Sugarcane Entertainment. Rodriguez is on board as executive producer and is accompanied by showrunner Carlos Coto, writer Diego Gutierrez and FactoryMade Ventures. El Rey Network's John Fogelman and Cristina Patwa also executive produce along with Miramax's Zanne Devine and Daniel Pipski.
