Based on the cult classic from Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez, El Rey Network will air the Season 2 finale of From Dusk Till Dawn. In an exclusive interview with MStars News, Madison Davenport (Kate Fuller) and Brandon Soo Hoo (Scott Fuller) discuss what's coming up before the last episode of the season.

As we previously mentioned, Santánico (Eiza González) and Richie (Holtz) are outside of Houston, living like Bonnie and Clyde, while Seth (Cotrona) and Kate are scraping by south of the border. Freddie Gonzalez (Jesse Garcia) protects his wife and daughter in a Houston suburb. As Carlos Madrigal (Wilmer Valderrama) and Scott emerge from ruins of the Titty Twister. They will all come together to face off against an even bigger threat, Lord Amancio Malvado (Esai Morales).

Before the season finale airs this Tuesday, October 27 on El Rey Network, Davenport and Soo Hoo discuss their favorite moments from the sophomore season, their character arcs, and what's in store for viewers.

MS: At the start of the second season, Kate and Scott were separated since his vampire transformation. Tell me about the mindset of Kate and Scott's character arc.

Madison Davenport: Kate was such a sheltered girl. She's the preacher's daughter. For this season, for her to be living with a criminal, I think it's different for her. She's so out of her element. She's kind of deciding she doesn't want to just live in this life. She needs to go find her family. And that's where you see our characters.

MS: In the first season finale, Kate and Seth ran off together. But at the start of this season, they are in dire need of cash.

MD: Me and Seth are kind of holed up. We've been through the same thing in season one. We both lost our brothers. We both had our worlds shattered by culebras. And yet, he chooses drugs. And I'm like, "No, I'm going to go out there and find this b*tch right here."

Brandon Soo Hoo: Ouch! [Laughs]

MD: Love you!

BSH:  Anyways! [Laughs] So my character's like, he gets what he's been asking for the whole time. If you've been following since season one, he keeps saying, "I'm going to find my own path. I want to find my place in the world. I want to get power."

There's actually a little bit of him that seeks that darkness because there is darkness in my character. He's not necessarily a bad guy, but he craves that in a sense. Even though he's not in the best position, in like the beginning of the season, he's in kinda exactly what he's asked for. He's in that position and he's slowly climbing up among the ranks. We'll just see where it takes my character.

MS: Your character have gone through dramatic changes, especially with Scott becoming Carlos' protege. Even Scott's wardrobe, with his jacket and sword, resembles a mix of anime and Blade. How much of this was discussed early on?

BSH: My wardrobe change is a huge reflection on the internal changes happening with my character. I'm wearing dark because he's becoming darker. He's got the machete because he's ready to mess stuff up.

MS: Everything is so different that the original From Dusk Till Dawn ending. Was that exciting to read in the scripts about your new character arc?

BSH: The streamline and roots are all there. He's more combat-based! That's just to show he's getting into more high-octane lifestyle!

MS: Kate has also gone through a dramatic change. Moving away from first season, Kate has become something a vampire slayer. Tell me about that aspect.

Madison Davenport: I mean I get a crossbow! [Laughs]

BSH: It's a pretty cool crossbow! [Laughs]

MD: I mean, Nina, our wardrobe director, she is so incredible! Because she puts time and thought into what this means for our characters. Clothes are a huge part o your character. Because if I was running around in a prom dress, people would be like, that's not quite right? [Laughs]

MS: Is it safe to assume that the wardrobe change was also discussed, as with Brandon's?

MD: We really did have discussions about where we wanted our characters to go. I think in the beginning of the season we saw, we wanted to see elements of who I was last season. I'm still covered up and have the cross. Even when I turn into my vampire slayer mode, with the black jacket and boots, I still have the cross. That's definitely a choice to show that I'm still holding onto that bond; that last bit of holding onto my humanity.

BSH: I really appreciate what Nina does. Wardrobe tells a whole story. Wardrobe feels like the most underrated part of the story. And she really puts a lot of thought into it.

MD: It's like you said. It shows the journey that he's going on. I mean it seems like a small part of it. But I think if he wasn't in what he was wearing, it wouldn't have had the same effect.

[From this point on, we discuss the ninth episode, which ended on a major cliffhanger.]

In our recent recap, Santánico found herself in a deadly confrontation against Malvado. With the help of Seth, Santánico managed to strike back at Malavdo and turn him into dust. With Richie captured, Carlos pulled out his gun and started shooting at Kate. Dropping to the floor, Kate whimpered her brother's name as she lied there bleeding.

MS: With the season finale coming up, what do you want the audiences to come away with?

MD: I can't tell you what happens after! [Laughs] So hard! [Laughs]

BSH: You go through a lot of stuff! A lot of stuff happens at the end of the season!

MD: I think this season is all about overcoming differences. You kinda had Seth talking about cowboys and indians. I know they're different but I want to understand them. I want to be there for my brother. This season has all been about reconnecting family.
