'From Dusk Till Dawn' Season 2 Episode 9 Recap: Wilmer Valderrama's “There Will Be Blood!”

Based on the cult classic from Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez, El Rey Network continues Season 2 of From Dusk Till Dawn. In Episode 9, will Richie Gecko (Zane Holtz) learn There Will Be Blood from Carlos Madrigal (Wilmer Valderrama)?

In the past, the oil rig manager (Gary Busey) promises his overworked employees wealth beyond their imagination. What they don't realize is that they are actually dogged up blood, not oil from the ground. Having tasted the sacred blood, the manager ends up killing an employee with his axe.

With Sex Machine (Jake Busey) loading up the truck, Carlos and Scott (Brandon Soo Hoo) are ready to drain the rig of its santa sangre. Sex Machine isn't too happy with Carlos betraying Malvado, which is why he has his own groupies. Carlos doesn't care about Sex Machine's groupies because he has his own woman, the biked named Maia (Demi Lovato). 

After accepting Lord Malvado (Esai Morales)'s offer for the throne, Richie discovers Kate (Madison Davenport) is being held hostage. After Malvado draws blood, Richie melds with Kate's memories, witnessing how Seth became a drug addict. Malvado then orders Richie to stop Carlos from taking the santa sangre.  

As Seth plans on taking Malvado's fortune, Richie is back on the road with Kate. Richie offers Kate a chance to leave the car but she refuses. Kate has gone too far to turn back now and abandon her brother. 

Wandering through the hallways, Santanico (Eiza González) suddenly hears the voice of Paloma Gutierrez (Alicia Sanz). After unlocking Paloma from her chains, Santanico realizes her wounds have suddenly healed quickly. In their vampire forms, Santanico fights with her protege before stabbing Paloma's heart with a wooden stake. 

While Kate discovers Richie plans on scarfing her brother, Seth finds himself in a torture room with Winchester Greely (Jere Burns). Fighting for his survival, Seth ends kicking his torturer onto the other vampire prisoners. As the torturer ends up being ripped apart, Winchester asks for the keys.  

After taking a bite, Malvado has Santanico under his control and has her dozen solid. Malvado reveals his plans for the santa sangre; for Santanico to finally feel the sunlight.  As Malvado makes his final preparations, Santanico calls out for Seth through her psychic link.

As Kate warns Scott and Carlos, Richie storms in blazing. During the shootout, Richie takes out Carlos' henchmen before he feels a barrel pointed to the back of his head. Maia removes her mask as she protects her man from Richie.   

As Malvado and Satanico fight, Seth runs in with her secret weapons. As the two vampires claw at each other, Seth has no choice but to step in and start shooting. Just when Malvado thinks he has the upper-hand, Seth stabs him in the back.

Santanico tears at Malvado and rips out his snake from his chest. Malvado reveals his true feelings for Santanico before she cuts open the snake. With the snake split in half, Malvado burns to ashes.   

After arguing with Richie, Carlos then starts pulling the trigger and shooting at Kate. Scott doesn't know what to do as he watches his sister fall to the floor.

Bleeding from her bullet wounds, Kate whimpers her brother's name.
