Just because some have fame once in their lifetime doesn't mean that they are happy. Deep down inside, childhood star Kel Mitchell was fighting some battles with his childhood fame, and he recently admitted that he had suicidal thoughts after the hype died. During an interview with People, the former Good Burger actor said, "I felt like I'd hit a wall."

Feeling low, the 37-year-old actor said that he had to figure out his next plan. "I was like, 'Okay. I need to figure out what I need to do in my life.'"

In his blog, Mitchell wrote about the tough times after he was famous, admitted that he had fallen into depression, had "suicidal" moments and was "deep in sin" while going through his divorce from Tyisha Hampton, who he was married to for six years. Mitchell also had some issues with "drug and alcohol usage, the lost of love ones to gang violence, debt, hurt, pain, vanity, lust [and] heartbreak."

When Britney Spears went through a major meltdown back in 2007, shaving off her hair, Mitchell admitted that he could relate to her freak out. "When Britney Spears shaved her head, I understood that."

Mitchell claimed that he was writing his story so that he could help others draw closer to their faith in God. After being confused, Mitchell said that he gained his faith back.

"I was trying to figure it all out on my own. But what I needed to do was turn to Him," the former Kenan & Kel actor said, "Once I found that clarity with Christ, I knew everything would work out."

Now Mitchell seems to have a better outlook on life having a better relationship with God and his two kids. The actors' son, Lyric, is now 16, and his daughter Allure, is 14. Mitchell has once again found love, and tied the knot again back in 2012 to Asia Lee, a designer and rapper.

"I enjoy living this life," Mitchell declared. The actor has once again returned to his roots and is back at Nickelodeon hosting the new sitcom, Game Shakers. The comedian also goes on tours doing stand-up and motivational speaking. He shared, "I don't let things frustrate or worry me anymore. I don't do that because I have peace in my heart. I have God."

If you grew up in the 90s you probably will never forget Kel's famous line: "Welcome to Good Burger, home of the Good Burger, can I take your order?" Here's a flashback of the hilarious 1997 film that some of us here at MStars News watched over and over again as children.

We're so glad that Mitchell's life turned around. Just this week, MStars News reported the death of model and actor, Sam Sarpong. Sarpong died from an apparent suicide after jumping from a bridge in Southern, California. Sarpong modeled for Tommy Hilfiger, and acted in films and shows including: Love Don't Cost a Thing, Bones, and Boston Public.
