'Gotham' Season 2 Ep 7 Spoilers: Will Robin Lord Taylor, Ben McKenzie Fight Mister Freeze?

Season 2 of the Batman prequel series, Gotham, continues on Fox. In the upcoming Episode 7, are gangster Oswald Cobbleput aka The Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) and detective Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) in danger of fighting against Mister Freeze (Nathan Darrow)?

In our previous recap, Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova) had a reunion with a former childhood friend, Bridget Pike(Michelle Veintimilla). As the Pike brothers forced her to join their life of crime, Bridget discovered a gas mask and flame-thrower. Bridget slowly became the Firefly and started on a path as a cop-killer. Meanwhile, the Order of St. Dumas is coming for Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) and Theo Galavan (James Frain) is their assassin.

In our recent recap, Selina tried to save her best friend but Bridget ended up taking a darker path. During her shootout with the police, Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) was unable to save Bridget as her gas tank sprung a leak, causing a massive explosion. Edward ended up confessing to Kringle that he killer her abusive ex. Edward strangled Kringle with his bare hands as she threatened to turn to the cops. While Edward held Kringle's corpse in his arms, Bridget was taken to an underground lab beneath Wayne Enterprises.

According to Deadline, the House of Cards actor has been cast as the infamous DC Comics super-villain. In a recurring role, Darrow will play the tragic and maniacal Victor Fries aka Mr. Freeze. In the Batman prequel series. Victor will become known as Gotham's preeminent cryogenics engineers.

Described as "erociously smart and eminently capable in his work," the anti-social Victor struggles to make a meaningful connection with others. Just like in the comics and in the animated series, Victor's wife, Nora, has tragically fallen ill with a terminal disease.

To save her before she dies, Victor will risk his sanity and his own life to become the Dark Knight's nemesis.
