Janice Dickinson/Bill Cosby Deposition Over Rape Allegations in Defamation Lawsuit

It appears that Janice Dickinson may have an excuse to bring Bill Cosby to court after all. The former supermodel and recent Celebrity Big Brother star will have Cosby deposed in her defamation suit against him, a judge has ruled.

After tearfully detailing her allegations against Cosby on Entertainment Tonight last year, Dickinson became the most publically outspoken of the Cosby Show star's accusers. Dickinson claims that Cosby drugged her drink and proceded to rape her during a trip to Lake Tahoe, CA in 1982.

"Before I woke up in the morning, the last thing I remember was Bill Cosby in a patchwork robe, dropping his robe and getting on top of me," Dickinson told ET last November. "And I remember a lot of pain. The next morning I remember waking up with my pajamas off and there was semen in between my legs."

The alleged incident, however, happened outside of the current statute of limitations. According to data from the Rape Abuse & Incest National Network, prosecutors in California only have 10 years to bring rape charges against alleged prepetrators before the statute of limitations is reached.

Dickinson, however, has been making good on her promise to bring Cosby to justice. While she may not be able to have him sent to jail for her alleged rape, she has brought a lawsuit against Cosby, charging him with defamation for branding her a "liar" in public statements on her allegations.

"Cosby knows that he drugged and raped Ms. Dickinson," the lawsuit claims, as reported by the Huffington Post. "He knew that calling her rape disclosure a lie was a false statement."

As reported by The Guardian, attorneys for Cosby responded to the lawsuit stating, "... documentary proof and Ms Dickinson’s own words show that her new story about something she now claims happened back in 1982 is a fabricated lie."

This continues the narrative from the Cosby camp that Dickinson is a liar and making the claims for attention.

Cosby is expected to be deposed by Dickinson's legal team before November 25.
