Rania Becomes 1st K-Pop Girl Music Band To Add African-American Member [VIDEO]

Ahead of their "Demonstrate" comeback, South Korean music band, Rania made history after adding the first African-American girl into their group.

Korean Pop history was made on Wednesday when Rania announced that African-American rapper, Alexandra Reid has joined their band as the sixth member ahead of band's return to the South Korean music industry later this month.

According to Korean Media, Reid is an African-American rapper and raised in United States. Rania's representative agency, DR Music, released a music video teaser of the band's upcoming song "Demonstrate," which featured Reid rapping.

Rania also posted an official message on their Facebook page, which read, "[We are] introducing our final member. Her name is Alex." Along with the message, the group posted a promotional image that called Rania Five.

Korean Media also reported that Reid was unable to arrive to South Korea due to visa issues but now everything is heading accordingly. Reid will be joining the rest of members for the first time publicly with their performance of "Demonstrate" on M! Countdown.

After the announcement Reid posted on Twitter that she is honoured that Korea has welcomed her with open arms.

Rania's debuted in 2011 and at that time American producer, Teddy Riley produced their first album. "Demonstrate" will be Rania's return to the k-pop following their disastrous debut in the USA market. Now with an African-American rapper in the group, fans of Rania are eagerly waiting for their new studio album, which will bring Reid's amazing quality of rapping.

Rania's "Demonstrate" is slated to officially release on Nov. 5, 2015.
