Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's most awaited film of the year, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, hit the theaters on the auspicious day of Diwali. From the earlier released promos and trailers it was clear that in the film, Khan will have a double role and they both will not go hand-in-hand in the film.

To rule the box office during the festive season in India, Khan and director Sooraj Barjatya worked day and night. The entire team ensured the fans that the super ambitious film will have a Diwali release. The trailers and the songs of the film clearly suggested that Prem Ratan Dhan Payo will have filled with high morals and family values. To make the fun double for the film, Barjatya introduced Khan in the double role in the film. It was back in 1997, when Khan was seen playing double in his comedy film, Judwaa.

According to NDTV Movies, in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Khan will be seen in a double role, that of his famous onscreen name, Prem, and another as Vijay. The film will deal in between the difference in ideologies between both Prem and Vijay because according to Prem, every family has problems but whoever has family is considered the lucky one. On the other hand, Vijay, who is royal by blood, thinks that it is always better not to have have a family if they plot against you.

According to a tweet from the famous Indian critic, Taran Adarsh, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has been released in more than 5300 screens around the globe and fans are standing in line to watch this most awaited family drama of the year.

The film also stars Sonam Kapoor, Anupam Kher and Neil Nitin Mukesh in pivotal roles.
