Telltale's 'The Walking Dead: Michonne" Episode Game Follows 'TWD: Season 3' For Release Date!

Based on the popular character Image Comics series by writer Robert Kirkman, Telltale Games is currently working on The Walking Dead: Michonne. Played by Danai Gurira on the show, the episode videogame's release date may coincide with Telltale's The Walking Dead: Season 3.

The Walking Dead: Michonne is designed as a three-episodic "mini-series" adventure announced. Though no plot detail has been released, we can only assume this will be a flashback before the apocalypse survivor met with Rick Grimes and the rest of the group. We're keeping our fingers for a crossover between Michonne and Clementine in The Walking Dead universe.

According to PlayStation Lifestyle, Job J Stauffer, Head of Creative Communications at Telltale Games, gave a few hints about the upcoming release date plans, which may be timed The Walking Dead videogame as well.

Stuaffer tweets, "Played @TheWalkingDead: Michonne today with the team.

Fresh, brutal, and it's about to sneak up on you... Be ready!"

As for the release date of The Walking Dead: Season 3 Game, the head of Creative Communications adds, "There will be no news on [The Walking Dead Season 3] until, at earliest, after the new Michonne Mini-Series concludes."

As we perviously mentioned, Sony has unveiled the lineup of titles that will be available free to PlayStation Plus subscribers. During the month of November, Telltale's second season of The Walking Dead leads the pack. In addition, PlayStation 4 owners will also be getting Magicka 2. The lineup continues as Mass Effect 2 and Ubisoft's enhanced port of Beyond Good & Evil will also be free on the PS3.

Telltale's Game of Thrones wraps up its first season on November 17 and Minecraft: Story Mode releases Episode 3 this month.

Both seasons of The Walking Dead: The Game are available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
