Pink Friday star, Nicki Minaj could have a mess on her hands if ex-fiance Safaree Samuels drags her in to court for a split of record sales and credit for co-writing and collaborating on songs with the Young Money star. According to several media outlets, the ex is threatening to take legal action for his share of publishing checks.

Apparently, Samuel, who played the hype guy position, seems to believe that he wasn't properly compensated for the work that he put in with his es- fiance. After the split, he went on Power 105 FM's 'The Breakfast Club' to discuss why they broke up and vowed he didn't appreciate what was being said by the "Fly High" rapper, saying, "I would never pull her down publicly and discredit what I've done for you?" And, "Don't say 'Oh, I don't have no talent' because every time it came to writing raps and doing music, it was me, her and a beat. She doesn't do it by herself. It was me and her. Don't discredit me on what I've done for you, that's weak. All I'm saying is this is something me and her did together."

When asked what was he to Minaj, he responded, "Everything." That was the first public hit that he was in fact a major player in the stars career.

Perez Hilton gave rpovided food for thought when it reported, "In fact, the superstar even named her ex an executive producer on her first two albums." It should also be noted that Samuels will provide proof of his claims that the ex-couple worked together. He allegedly has video footage as evidence, voice notes from recording sessions and witnesses. There are several albums that may be up for grabs for the Super Bass star and are some of her most notable albums including, The Pink Print, Pink Friday and Pink Friday: Reloaded.

This could get ugly real fast for Minaj. Maybe she will settle out of court with Samuels because if he can prove his case, she could be penalized additionally, as well as pay out what is owed and may have future royalties. If this case lands in a court room and a judge rules in his favor of the old boy-toy, this could make the ex a very rich man.
