Did 'RHOC' Star Vicki Gunvalson Go Along With Brooks's Cancer Lies To Stay On Bravo Show?

Real Housewives of Orange County star Vicki Gunvalson is still involved in a firestorm of controversy after her ex-boyfriend Brooks Ayers revealed he fabricated medical records that he used to show he has cancer for an interview with E! News. Now it looks like those around Brooks are distancing themselves from him for his lies. On top of that, many think Vicki stayed with him just to stay on the hit Bravo series.

According to In Touch Weekly via Radar Online, the Mississippi businessman was paid $12,000 by E! to talk about the drama surrounding his cancer diagnosis as well as bring medical records to show as proof he is telling the truth.

"He's a liar who was desperate to monetize his story," a source told the gossip mag.

The magazine went on to say that his lawyer and representative wanted to know the real truth after his story blew up in his face.

"They were totally blindsided, so they demanded real proof," the source said. "[Brooks] refused to confirm or deny to them if he did or did not in fact have cancer - or if he ever did."

"He even told his real business contacts he has cancer," the source continued. "He'll probably try to blow it all off as 'reality TV spin.' You will never get the truth from this guy."

Even more shockingly Vicki reportedly kept going along with the charade so she could keep her job on RHOC.

"She was about to be booted from the show and then suddenly Brooks got diagnosed and everything changed," according to In Touch. "Vicki knew her ratings were better with him."

As MStars News reported, Vicki's costar Tamra Judge still can't get over her former best friend's involvement in Brooks's cancer lies.

"I'm not gonna lie I'm struggling with forgiving Vicki," the fitness entrepreneur told The Real Mr. Housewife. "I'm not sure I can."

"It goes deeper than just lying about Brooks having cancer for me," she went on. "I figured Brooks out a long time ago, like so many others. When I voiced my opinion that's when she turned on me."
