Just before Thanksgiving, the National Geographic Channel will premiere their two-night epic miniseries event, Saints & Strangers. Check out the first look of Vincent Kartheiser (Mad Men), Anna Camp (Pitch Perfect), and Ray Stevenson (Black Sails).

According to TV Line,  Saints & Strangers follows William Bradford (Kartheiser), who is described as a "moral compass" of the Plymouth colony. William will hold onto his beliefs with his wife, Dorothy (Camp). Stevenson plays as an adversary with a checkered past. The four-hour TV movie also follows the stories of the Native American tribes who dealt with the Pilgrim's sudden arrival. Actors Raoul Trujillo (Apocalypto) and Tatanka Means (Banshee) worked with a dialect coach to speak the Abenaki language.

The ensemble cast also includes Barry Sloane (Revenge), Ron Livingston (Boardwalk Empire), Natascha McElhone (Californication) and more.

In an interview with Variety, executive producer Gina Matthews describes the nature of the narrative, "Growing up, we learn about the Mayflower and the colonization of America, but we never learn the whole story. The real story is an incredible survival story. 'Saints & Strangers' is the opportunity to tell the world about our country."

Executive producer Grant Scharbo adds, "The Native Americans are determined to maintain their way of life just as much as the Pilgrims are determined to start theirs anew. This is one of those stories where once both groups start down a path, history is changed forever."

In the exclusive first look from Yahoo TV,  the first five minutes of Saints & Strangers, have made its way online.. The footage starts off with a dramatic voiceover from religious separatist William Bradford. In network's first-ever scripted miniseries, Bradford states, "They came for fortune, we came for God."

Saints & Strangers premieres Sunday, Nov. 22 at 9 p.m. on the National Geographic Channel.
