Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus, Bajirao Mastani, has grabbed a lot of attention since it was announced. However, the recent updates that are making the epic drama famous is the fees Ranveer Singh charged for his role.

In Bollywood, the A-class stars usually charge somewhere around $5-$7 million for their roles. However, Singh has reportedly not charged a single penny for his role in Bajirao Mastani. According to India TV News, the actor who is currently dating Deepika Padukone, reportedly went bald for his role, which is evident in the released trailer, and has opted for profit sharing instead of charging a fee for his role.

"Ranveer has not charged the makers a single penny for doing Bajirao Mastani as he has opted for profit sharing," Bollywoodlife.com quoted a source as saying.

The trailer released this week has got a good response from the fans and everyone is eagerly waitng for the movie to hit the theatres.

Singh is not the only actor in Bollywood who works on profit sharing from a project. Actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar has worked on the profit sharing model from a long time. It was previously reported by many media outlets that all the three Khans takes up to 40% from the total profit sharing of any film. How much profit Singh will be getting from Bajirao Mastani can only be predicted after the first weekend collection of the film.

Bajirao Mastani is slated to release on Dec. 18. The film will star Quantico lead Priyanka Chopra playing the role of Bajirao's first wife, Kashibai, and Padukone will play the role of Bajirao's second wife, Mastani.
