Meredith Vieira might have started her talk show career on The View, but the former host is saying that she doesn't exactly miss the ABC series. While the show has since gone on to include famous celebrities hosts like Whoopi Goldberg, Raven Symone, Michelle Collins, and Joy Behar again, the former panelist is open up, saying that she doesn't entirely miss being a part of the show.

According to Radar Online, Vieira is explaining that she might have a soft spot for the ladies that she shared the screen with, but that she doesn't actually miss being a member of The View.

"No [I don't miss it]," the reporter explained to Page Six, adding, "I miss my friends, but... it's changed a lot. I'll always care about [the show], but for me it was time to try something different."

The series has found itself in the headlines a lot in recent years, not only with the revolving door of co-hosts, but also the controversial jokes that hosts on the program have made.

We reported earlier this month that the series found itself once again in hot water, after the panelists were making light of eating disorders.

Vieira also sees that joke that the show has become in recent years, as according to PEOPLE, she mentioned in 2006 that the show was, "hard to watch" and adding "It sort of became a joke."

Vieira, left the program to start her own series on NBC, and with her departure she missed much of the drama and the cattiness that has been rumored to be a part of the show now.

However, having her own show the star says that she never knows how much more time she has on the air before she is asked to retire, which can often be stressful.

"It's hard when you do syndication," the 61-year-old star revealed. "I don't have the luxury of having years to do it anymore. I feel like I'm always watching the clock with anxiety. You never know when they might say, well, we've run out of time for you."
