Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon might be separated but that isn't stopping the stars from continuing to celebrate the holidays together. The stars spent their first Thanksgiving together since their split earlier this year, and made it work for the sake of their kids, Monroe and Morocco.
According to Perez Hilton, it looks like it was Mariah's Instagram photo that gave away her holiday location, as she posed in front of Cannon's house in Los Angeles on turkey day.
Mariah is looking as gorgeous as ever as she strikes a pose in a red dress in front of Cannon's foyer, while smiling at the camera. She captioned the photo with the simple hashtag, "#Thanksgiving."
TMZ is reporting that while Mariah spent time at Cannon's house for the festivities, that her and her kids left soon afterwards and spent the rest of the night at a hotel. The site is also reporting that the kids are taking the separation well and that they are not affected by the split since they are used to be looked after by only one parent at a time.
While the site is saying that the two have managed to have a meal together that it doesn't mean that they will be getting back together anytime soon. They are reporting that the Mariah and Nick relationship was toxic while it was happening but that they have somehow managed to get along as friends.
According to Page Six, Nick Cannon told Meredith Vieira while he was a guest on her talk show that Mariah and him are trying to keep things as normal as possible for the kids.
"Being the fact our situation, we have always been people who have been on the go, coming and going, their life hasn't changed one bit," Nick explained of his kids. "We spend holidays together, we do everything that we are supposed to do together as a family."
