With production of Season 2 of Marvel's Daredevil underway, Netflix has released the first season of Marvel's Jessica Jones. Twitter had lots to say about Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) and Luke Cage (Mike Colter) in their episodes 1-13 premiere.

As we previously mentioned, Jessica Jones (Ritter) suffers from post-traumatic stress due to her dark times with Kilgrave (David Tennant). As the sole owner of Alias Private Investigations, Jessica is drawn to a mysterious man, Luke Cage (Colter) who seems to hiding a secret of his own. Wanting revenge for what she did to him, Kilgrave is using to make those around Jones suffer before he finally meets her face-to-face.

In an interview with Los Angels Times, showrunner Melissa Rosenberg discusses why the Breking Bad actress was perfect for the role, "From the beginning, even when it was back at network, we had various lists and Krysten Ritter was always at the top of those lists. For one reason in particular, at the beginning, which was one of the most, if not the most, important element of this character was to be able to deliver a dryly comedic line. I knew we were going to be going into some bleak territory emotionally and there's just no way to do that without offering some levity, for me. I have no interest in going there without a little bit of levity. And this character just allows for so much of that black comedy to come forward. That was essential."

Check out what Twitter had to say:

@H2Ollie tweets, "No wonder #JessicaJones and #Daredevil are so good, having Jeph Loeb as exec producer does nothing but credit #marvel & #netflix decisions."

@LarismsXo adds, "David Tennant is one sexy little minx as Kilgrave. If you've not watched Jessica Jones yet, sweet JESUS watch it."

@imclexatrash writes, "Cant get over jessica jones why do I have to wait a year"

@renay states, "Look for nuance and empathy in critiques of Jessica Jones. Because it's handling tough concepts. It's being brave and different."

@iamlaurenp mentions, "Non-spoilery #JessicaJones spoiler: Gonna be a lot of dudes in the gym trying to get the Luke Cage look."

@Crit_Dmg notes, "Finished #JessicaJones. Started off slow, but soon became breathtaking, in a very literal way. It's like an anxiety dispenser.'

Marvel's Jessica Jones continues to stream on Netflix.
