MStars News has learned that five people were shot in Minneapolis earlier this week when they were protesting as apart of the Black Lives Matter movement over the recent death of Jamar Clark.

According to BBC, none of the victims had life-threatening injuries from Monday night's shooting. The New York Times revealed that police had arrested three people on Tuesday in connection of the incident.

Protesters have gathered in the streets of Minneapolis after Clark was shot by police ten days ago. He was only 24 years old. Clark was an unarmed black man fatally shot by law enforcement on Nov. 15.

Police have arrested a 23-year-old white man, and two other white men also in their twenties turned themselves in on late Tuesday.

There have been protests around the nation for a long time as more and more unarmed black men become victims of death by police officers. MStars News previously reported that the city of Chicago is currently outraged after video surveillance surfaced of another white officer named, Jason Van Dyke shooting 17-year-old Laquan McDonald 16 times.

In the Minneapolis shooting, protesters said that they lost all trust in the law enforcement after they didn't respond to the incident the proper way.

"Despite earlier statements from police about the impending threat from white supremacists, the police instead Maced citizen journalists and peaceful protesters after the shooting," Miski Noor, an organizer with Black Lives Matter Minneapolis, revealed. "They made disparaging comments to those at the protests instead of taking the threat seriously. We reiterate that we have zero faith in this Police Department's desire to keep our community safe."

The police officers that fatally shot Clark almost two weeks ago were identified as Mark Ringgenberg and Dustin Schwarze.

Before being killed, Clark was a suspect in an assault and got in the middle of the paramedics trying to treat his victim. Law enforcement claimed that Clark started fighting the police when they got to the scene which ended in gunshots. There were witnesses that said Clark was handcuffed when he was shot, the police are denying those claims.
