USA's 'Donny! S01E03 'Little League Dads Gone Wild' Donny Deutsch, Emily Tarver Recap!

USA Network continues Season 1 of their new comedy, Donny!  In Episode 3, Little League Dads Gone Wild!, creator and star Donny Deutsch (Donny himself) needs help from his producer Pam (Emily Tarver) when his son enters a tap-dancing competition.

On his talk show, Donny brings in a child psychologist as the audiences watches the father yell at his kid during a little league game. Donny tries to teach the lesson, be the best you, to his viewers. In their role-play, the father ends up getting into a fight with the child psychologist and Donny.

Obsessed with Dr. Phil, Donny feels competitive with his opponent. It turns out no one is buying Donny's bobble-head. Donny's ex wife, Piper (Lesli Margherita), wants their nine year old to enter a tap dancing competition. Donny is worried about his son losing, like he did as a child. 

After watching their son tap dance, Piper and Donny tell him the news. The kid, Jagger (Jacob Thomas Anderson) is excited about having a coach, preferring his mother's idea.  Donny meets with Coach Gordon, who finds Jagger out of sync. 

Coach Gordon wants Donny out of the way for the hour. Dreams are built with sweat and pain; let's start drinking says the coach. His daughter, Coco (Fiona Robert) though thinks her father is being a hypocrite. He just wants Jagger to win. After hearing her father's childhood story, Coco jokingly learns, even if you lose; pretend you are the winner. 

Even when he's not practicing with his coach, Jagger is still rehearsing with his sister. Receiving a gift from Dr. Phil, Donny gets the same bobble-head from him. Donny thinks his opponent feels threatened by him. 

At the show, Donny passes his ex and her boy toy, his daughter, and their coach before getting to his seat. After watching the other kids and Jagger perform on stage, Donny ends up getting into an argument with another father. Jagger makes it to the final round. 

As the kids compete, Coco tries to get her father to calm down. After Jagger is called a "runt," Donny puts the father in a headlock. The video of Donny ends up on Access Hollywood. Even after being made fun of, Donny is proud his son won first place.

Pam thinks it's best for Donny to apologize in front of the camera. After admitting he lost sight, Donny wants to put the best show ever, about women having too many orgasms.

Violet (Jessica Renee Russell) then shows Donny his new bobble-head. He then has his toys fight each other.
