With production of Season 2 of Marvel's Daredevil underway, Netflix has plans for Season 2 of Marvel's Jessica Jones. Are Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) and Trish "Patsy" Walker aka Hellcat (Rachael Taylor) joining the superhero team, The Defenders?

As we previously mentioned, Jessica Jones (Ritter) suffers from post-traumatic stress due to her dark times with Kilgrave (David Tennant). As the sole owner of Alias Private Investigations, Jessica is drawn to a mysterious man, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) who seems to hiding a secret of his own. Wanting revenge for what she did to him, Kilgrave is make those around Jones suffer before he finally meets her face-to-face.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, showrunner Melissa Rosenberg discusses when the sophomore season first into Marvel/Netflix's grand scheme, "The question becomes is there actual time? There are logistics involved, because Defenders has to shoot by a certain time, contractually. Actually, I'm not sure; I'm not at all involved in those conversations, much to my dismay. The first question is whether or not we will even get a second season. The second question is, if so, when? Will it be before The Defenders or after? I'd certainly love it to be before but there are things that play into that - time, availability."

As we mentioned before, from what we know so far, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Daredevil, and Luke Cage will form The Defenders. Will Hellcat become a new member to the group?

The Twilight screenwriter tells Deadline, "Patsy is just one of my favorite characters and she was a big comic character in the '40s. So, it was interesting how many elements we could actually take from that original character, the child stardom, and the overbearing mother, and all of that stuff. She's one of the characters that I'm looking forward to exploring, and pushing to new territory, and the world is our oyster on that one. We can go anywhere we want with it and there's a lot of mythology behind her ...so, that's my way of avoiding answering the question."

Marvel's Jessica Jones continues to stream on Netflix.
