Holly Holm has gone from that one girl fighting Ronda Rousey to a household name in the span of a few weeks. She's been on a never-ending victory lap, making appearances all across the country. In doing so, she's been able to meet some pretty cool people--perhaps none cooler than Jay Z and Beyoncé. However, taken aback by the moment, Holm apparently resorted to an old habit and asked Jay Z for his wife's name.

While attending the Canelo Alvarez - Miguel Cotto fight, Holm was bombarded by fans before security escorted her away to a VIP room. There, Holm met the celebrity couple and exchanged a few pleasantries.

"I met Jay Z and he says this is my wife and I say... oh hi what is your name? That is what I do when I meet someone's wife," said Holm, via an Albequerque news station. It's noteworthy to point out the fact that Jay Z's wife is kind of famous. Her name is Beyoncé.

"And as I am shaking her hand I am thinking why did I just say that? Why did I just say that? It's Beyoncé.'" Holm said in the video. "Then Jay Z's asking me about the fight, and I can't even focus on what he's saying because I just put my foot in my mouth.

"And I literally have to interrupt him, I'm like, 'I'm really sorry.' And I go back to Beyoncé, and I'm like, 'Beyoncé, like, I can't believe I just did that.' Yeah, she goes, 'Oh, no it's fine.' I'm like, 'No, like, I really, really - it's like such an honor to meet you.'

And while it's unclear whether or not Beyonce is on Holm's speed dial, it is clear that she was cool with the situation. Heck, it was probably refreshing to be treated as a normal person. The fact that Holm was so worked up about it makes her all the more endearing, and goes to show how overwhelming the sudden celebrity can be.

Holm went on to achnowledged just how much her life has changed and her desire for a bit of normalcy.

"My life has changed a little bit. Hopefully everything will be somewhat normal at home," said Holm, via krqe news 13.

It probably won't be, though. Albequerque (Holm's home) has anxiously been awaiting Holm's return ever since her upset victory over Rousey. There's even a Facebook page dedicated to her return (of course there is). It's fair to expect trumpets and balloons, too.
