Grammy winner Mariah Carey was recently rushed to the hospital with a flu infection. According to TMZ, the 45-year-old singer had just performed at Pier 1 Import's pop-up book installation in the Soho section of New York City when she started to feel ill.

"She seemed under the weather but pulled through," claimed an anonymous source who added, "She was on time, did her press and gave a presentation. She usually has a reputation for being a diva, but I guess when she has the flu, she's on her best behavior."

After arriving at the hospital she was treated for dehydration and given plenty of fluids and vitamins. A full recovery is expected.

Carey, who is currently dating Australian billionaire James Packer, was previously married to Nick Cannon, who recently spoke on The Howard Stern Show about his ex-wife's new boyfriend. "As long as she's happy and my children are happy, I'm happy," claimed the 35-year-old America's Got Talent host. The former couple recently spent Thanksgiving together.

It's no surprise the "All I Want for Christmas is You" singer is a bit run down given her hectic schedule. In addition to her Pier 1 performance, Carey is scheduled to appear this weekend at Hot 97's "Hot for Holidays" concert in New Jersey. She also recently completed work on the TV movie A Christmas Melody, where she served as both actress and director, which airs on the Hallmark Channel Dec.18.

When asked how she'll spend the holidays Carey recently told People,"I love a white Christmas. I love a snowy Christmas, so Aspen is my go-to I'm going this year. It's a tradition. I've been going there a long time."
