The most wonderful time of the year is here. Everyone knows not only is this the season for giving, family and love; it's all the season for musicals. This year's musical event is The Wiz Live!. And we have the scoop on where you can watch NBC's show online. That's right, we got you covered with a live stream!
It's been a really long time since we've seen this much excitement when it comes to a live musical production. As previously reported, some of the best Hollywood talents such as actress/rapper Queen Latifah, singer Mary J.Blige, David Alan Grier, Uzo Aduba, Common, Ne-Yo, Amber Riley, Elijah Kelley, Stephanie Mills and newcomer Shanice Williams will be staring in this live event. With such a talented cast the expectations of the musical are going to be very high.
If you're unable to make it to a TV have no fear! The network is offering a live stream on its website at NBC.com/Live.
The Wiz Live! is a retelling of the classic 1975 Broadway hit The Wizard Of Oz that is told from an African American perspective. The original musical that included Michael Jackson and Diana Ross is a big musical hit in African American culture.
The Wiz Live! is executive produced by Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, who were behind the previously produced NBC's last two musical specials, The Sound of Music Live! and Peter Pan Live!
There is no doubt here that this production of The Wiz Live! is going to be a memorable one. Make sure you don't miss out on the musical event of the season. You'll definitely regret it.
The production is three hours long and will air live for 8p.m. until 11 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
