'Killogy' Alan Robert "Zombified" Metal Allegiance Mark Menghi Into 'The Walking Dead' Comic!

Alan Robert kicks up his artwork up a notch as he uses the likeness of others into Zombified drawings. In an homage to The Walking Dead comic and AMC television drama, the Killogy artist turns Mark Menghi of Metal Allegiance and the rest of his bandmates into the undead.

In his personal essay for Metal Hammer, the founder/songwriter of Metal Allegiance describes his passion for The Walking Dead, both the TV show and comic. Menghi then came into contact with the Life of Agony bassist at a comic book convention. As soon as they hit it off, the two discussed drawing himself and the other band members (David Ellefson, Mike Portnoy, Alex Skolnick) as zombies.

The Crawl to Me writer/artist explains, "I've been drawing monsters for as long as I can remember, so when I started zombifying fans at comic and horror conventions it really caught on. Everyone wants to get zombified! I even ran into TWD's Michael Rooker (Merle Dixon) at one of these events and drew him up something special. When Menghi approached me to zombify the Metal Allegiance crew, I jumped at the chance. I grew up on Megadeth and Testament so drawing Skolnick and Ellefson as the undead was especially fun for me."

Menghi adds, "I was so excited the way it turned out, that we had to share this with all of our fans, the TWD community and the entire zombie loving world!"

As we previously mentioned, a trailer was released for the animated adaptation of Killogy. In the footage, a gang of misfits (voiced by Marky Ramone, Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein, Brea Grant (Heroes), and Frank Vincent (Goodfellas)) take on a disembodied, airborne zombie head as Brooklyn has suddenly become an apocalyptic war zone. After being asleep for centuries, a once dormant voodoo curse has awakened the dead and flooded the streets of New York in blood.
