Trevor Noah Calls Senator Ted Cruz an “A**hole” After His Post San Bernardino Shooting Event

The Daily Show's Trevor Noah has officially let out his feelings about Texas Sen. Ted Cruz – sort of. During a recent report from the Comedy Central series, Noah claimed that the latest doing of Cruz's – in which he invited people to a Second Amendment event at a shooting range in Iowa just hours after the killings in San Bernardino – could only be done by an "a**hole."

And seeing as Cruz did do just that, our guess is Noah pretty much considers the guy to be one.

"Fourteen people just lost their lives in a shooting," Noah said, "and Ted Cruz's first thought is, 'Oh, that reminds me. Gotta send out my invites to my gun party!'"

The comedian further explained that the action is "something you'd only do if you were an a**hole."

But it turns out that could be what people are looking for. The Daily Show reported that Cruz's poll numbers continue to rise, despite the fact that people both in and outside of his party seemingly cannot stand the man—even his college roommate.

Craig Mazin, Cruz's college roommate, appeared on the Scripnotes Podcast back in 2013. In his interview, he said:

"Ted Cruz was my roommate. I did not like him at all in college. ... And, you know, I want to be clear, because Ted Cruz is a nightmare of a human being. I have plenty of problems with his politics, but truthfully his personality is so awful that 99 percent of why I hate him is just his personality."

Mazin further went on to state that even if he did agree with Cruz in politics, his hatred of him would only decrease by 1%.

So, folks, now we have to ask: Is Ted Cruz an "a**hole?"
