Leonardo DiCaprio is reportedly a thrill-seeker, but revealed he has nearly died three different times in his adventures. DiCaprio stated he not only was nearly attacked by a shark, but he also nearly died in a plane explosion and also during a tandem skydive when their parachutes did not open.

The 41-year-old actor, who was recently rumored to have been "raped" by a bear during filming of The Revenant, opened up about his scary mishaps that could have killed him.

DiCaprio spoke to Wired magazine, revealing he had a close call with a great white shark in South Africa.

The actor stated that a great white actually got into the cage while he was diving in South Africa, after they used tuna to lure the shark.

He explained, "The great white took about five or six snaps an arm’s length away from my head. The guys there said that has never happened in the 30 years they’d been doing it."

DiCaprio also spoke of the ordeal during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Leo also told the publication about his brush with death on board a Delta flight to Russia.

The Wolf of Wall Street star stated, "I was in business class, and an engine blew up in front of my eyes. It was right after “Sully” Sullenberger landed in the Hudson. I was sitting there looking out at the wing, and the entire wing exploded in a fireball."

DiCaprio's third near-death scare was while he was skydiving.

The actor was doing a tandem dive and the first chute was all tangled, which had to be cut free. During that moment they were free-falling. The second chute was then pulled and also knotted. The skydiver shook the parachute until it finally unraveled.

Dicaprio adds that the professional told him, "You’re probably going to break your legs on the way down, because we’re going too fast now."

Thankfully, the actor and tandem diver were a little battered and bruised but there were no broken bones.
