MStars News has finally learned why Ink Master's season 4 winner, Scott Marshall died. According to US Magazine, Marshall died from an accidental heroin overdose.

Chief Deputy Coroner Charlie Dastych told a Chicago local station that Marshall died from an accidental overdose of heroin and prescription drug called, benzodiazepine.

Benzodiazepines is often used as a muscle relaxer or for seizure control.

The infamous gossip site, TMZ revealed that Marshall had heroin, Xanax and Valium in his system. The coroner ruled his death an accident due to intoxication. The coroner also said that Marshall had marks on his body that revealed he was previously using drugs that are injected in the veins.

MStars News previously reported that Marshall was found dead in a Roselle, Illinois, hotel room. The tattoo artist was only 41-years-old when he died on Oct. 25 at the Holiday Inn Express, located at 1490 W. Lake St.

Before his death, Marshall called his wife, Johanna from his tattoo shop, Roselle Tattoo Company, and told her that he wasn't feeling too good. Marshall then made the decision to stay at a hotel. When Johanna tried to reach her husband, he never picked up her phone calls.

The day after he stayed at a local hotel, Marshall's body was found by two police officers who told Johanna that the tattoo star had died in his sleep. Before the overdose results were reported, Johanna said that authorities told her the preliminary autopsy results revealed her husband died from unspecified heart issue.

In 2014, Marshall won $100,000 and was promoted Inked magazine after his season 4 win. Besides his wife, Johanna, Marshall left behind three kids. A rep from Ink Master previously said: "He was a great competitor and talented artist. Our deepest condolences go out to the Marshall family and friends."
