WWE presents the December 14, 2015 episode of Monday Night Raw from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, and the episode ends with Roman Reigns as the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion! But there was plenty of buildup to that moment, so let's dive into the full results.

Stephanie McMahon opens the show and talks about Roman Reigns' attack on Triple H last night. She says imagine what it's like to go home and tell your children what happened to their father. She calls out Reigns, who makes his way through the crowd.

He says he's a father too and wishes his daughter a Happy Birthday. He's short on time, so if she's going to fire him, then just do it already. She calls him a failure and a disgrace, but he says "disgrace" describes her entire family. Steph slaps him across the face multiple times, but he just laughs. Stephanie says Hunter asked her not to fire Roman, but Vince McMahon is on his way here, and he just might fire him.

New WWE Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose faces Dolph Ziggler, but Kevin Owens attacks both men. He delivers two Pop-Up Powerbombs to Ambrose. Ziggler tries to assist, but Owens powerbombs him onto Ambrose!

Backstage, JoJo asks Owens if he were justified in what he did. Owens, terrifyingly, says that he will drive Ambrose to an institution and then take back his title.

The ECW Originals cut a promo about their adopted hometown and then ask The Wyatt Family to face them in an Extreme Rules match.

R-Truth faces Bo Dallas. During the match, we cut backstage to see Vince McMahon arriving in a limo. He tells Stephanie to head back to Connecticut to take care of her husbnd, and he then makes his way to the ring. He promptly tells Bo Dallas and R-Truth to get the hell out of his ring.

Vince says Reigns is probably sweating right now, and facing Vince is akin to standing in the presence of God Almighty. Reigns comes out and Vince threatens to kick his ass because he's acting so smug and unapologetic. Vince loses his suit jacket and prepares to fight, but Sheamus comes out and says he wants the pleasure of beating an apology out of Reigns. In fact, he's so confident Reigns can't beat him that he'll put the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the line tonight!

Vince says there's no chance in hell of that happening, and Reigns is disappointed because the man who once bragged about having big ol' grapefruits now just has shriveled up prunes. Vince gives him his match but warns him that if he doesn't become champion tonight, "You'rrrrrrre fiiiiiiired!" Vince kicks Reigns in the testicles for good measure.

Alberto Del Rio and Rusev defeat Ryback and Jack Swagger when Lana distracts the referee, which allows them to superkick Swagger.

Adam Rose does his Rosebush segment.

Neville defeats Tyler Breeze with the Red Arrow. The Miz was ringside for this.

Backstage, Neville and The Miz argue, and Miz annoys Neville with talk of putting him in the next Star Wars movie and mimicking Neville's accent.

The Wyatt Family promises to bury the ECW Originals in the town in which they were born.

The eight-man Extreme Rules match then begins, and it's an all-out war. The Wyatts get the win when Erick Rowan splashes Rhyno through a table and pins him.

The New Day comes out and talks about how a ladder match like last night's changes one's perspective. They bring out The Usos and The Lucha Dragons and sincerely congratulate them on the match and on taking the WWE tag team division to the next level. They all shake hands, but as soon as The Usos and Lucha Dragons start to head up the ramp, The New Day celebrate like buffoons in the ring. The other two tag teams rush the ring and beat down the champs.

Charlotte and Becky Lynch defeat Brie Bella and Alicia Fox after Ric Flair, unbeknownst to Becky, trips up Alicia, which allows Bex to lock in the Disarmer for the submission victory. Team BAD is in the front row for this one.

Vince McMahon is ringside for the main event. Despite interference from The League of Nations and the Chairman of the Board, a bloodied Roman Reigns survives a Brogue Kick and delivers a spear to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion!

Reigns celebrates with the title as the show goes off the air.
