Michael Lohan Charged with Battery of Wife Kate Major: Their Two Children Taken Away

Michael Lohan turned himself in to police early Monday morning and was booked for battery. Lindsay Lohan's 55-year-old father is accused of choking and slapping estranged wife Kate Major, as well as slapping their son. Major reportedly took a video as evidence to have Lohan arrested for battery.

Major, 33, a former showbiz reporter, accused him of attacking her in October. She claims he slapped their son in the face and choked her.

Police were given a video from Major where a slap is heard, following by Major screaming in pain. Lohan has not been charged for allegedly slapping his child yet.

Michael denied the assault, telling TMZ that Kate "is a proven alcoholic, a liar ... and an abuser. I have so many videos of her abuse, her lies and admitting her lies and saying she'll lie and do anything she can to set me up."

Lohan was arrested for battery, after turning himself in to the Palm Beach County jail at around 4:20 a.m. on Monday morning.

Major and Lohan's two children, Landon, 2, and Logan, 11 months, were removed from their home in November by the Florida Dept. of Children and Families. The tumultuous couple reportedly had a nasty fight in front of the children.

The boys have been placed in the care of Michael's mother and Lohan and Major can only visit their two sons under supervision by staff at the Florida Department of Children and Families.

Lohan recently sat down with Dr. Phil to discuss the child custody case and allegations of abuse.

Lohan also has four children with his first wife, Dina Lohan, which includes troubled actress Lindsay Lohan.

In November, Major was arrested after she was removed from a Jet Blue flight for being belligerent while intoxicated. The 31-year-old allegedly got into an argument with other passengers and flight attendants over legroom on the plane.

Major is reportedly still in a rehab treatment facility for alcohol and cocaine addiction.
