From Glen Mazzara (The Walking Dead), A&E promises to frighten audiences with Damien. Based on The Omen horror flick, starring Bradley James (Homeland), a thrilling teaser has been released, featuring footage from the pilot, before its official premiere in 2016.

According to the plot synopsis from TV Line, the A&E drama follows the mysterious child from Satan in the classic Richard Donner (Superman) and Gregory Peck (To Kill A Mockingbird) horror movie. Damien has all grown up since the events from the first flick, not the sequels. In a bit of interesting trivia, in final installment, Damien is on cusp of becoming President. In the TV show, Damien (James) has to come to terms with his true destiny and accept his throne in Hell as the Antichrist.

From the official A&E twitter account, the caption states, echoing an infamous line from the movie, "It's all for you, Damien. The new series #Damien is coming in 2016." In slow motion, and told backwards, a woman from a fancy party repeats the line before crashes through a window while under demonic possession.

No word yet if the footage is from an extended scene in the pilot. The ensemble cast includes Barbara Hershey, Omid Abtahi, and Megalyn Echikunwoke.

As Deadline reports, fans went crazy when they saw a Walking Dead reunion during A&E's Damien panel at San Diego Comic-Con. Known as Hershel Greene on the zombie drama, Scott Wilson joined his former TWD showrunner Glen Mazzara on stage to discuss their latest project. Wilson was seen in a clip before he showed up in front of the crowd.

Mazzara hopes audience will join them on this supernatural drama, "Hopefully this is something that people fall in love with and come back season after season. We have a long story to tell."

The Damien executive producer adds this will be straight-up horror, not campy/silly horror like Scream Queens, like the original, "We're going for the tone of the first movie," the EP added. "It's about the humanity."

Damien will premiere on A&E sometime in 2016.
