No matter how old you get, there will always be something part of you that wants a special gift for Christmas Day 2015. With Marvel's Doctor Strange and Sherlock Season 4 coming up, Benedict Cumberbatch writers a letter to Santa Claus, still asking for that Star Wars lightsaber when he was a little boy.

As we previously mentioned, the Sherlock actor himself will play Doctor Stephen Vincent Strange. The story follows the ex-neurosurgeon as he struggles to move forward from a horrific car accident. After discovering the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions, Strange trains himself to become the Sorcerer Supreme.

According to IGN, the Zoolander sequel actor wrote a letter to Santa as part of the Letters Live series. To mark national letter writing day, the 39 year old reveals he never got the lightsaber her want as a little boy, probably because he was on Santa's naughty list.

As transcribed by Vulture, the Star Trek: Into Darkness sequel actor then discusses what the true meaning of Christmas is, "In spite of you being changed into different colours for corporations and being bastardised to represent materialism gone mad - despite probably originating in some season based pagan druid ritual a million thought miles from requests for spontaneously combusting hoverboards ... Kidadults cynically pointing this out after having their moment of belief in you are wasting everyone's precious time."

Cumberbatch continues, "Because you are not for them. You are for the children. Children who need some magic in a world were the borders between innocence and responsibility, playful imagination and cold, adult obstacles are continually shrinking."

November 4, 2016 is the scheduled release date for Doctor Strange. Sherlock: The Abominable Bride will premiere at 9pm on PBS' Masterpiece Mystery on January 1, 2016.
