Bollywood Mourns Veteran Actress Sadhana Shivdasani's Death on Twitter

Veteran Bollywood actress Sadhana Shivdasani died on Friday at her Mumbai residence. According to several reports, the 74-year-old actress was suffering from a long illness caused by a tumor. Famous Bollywood celebrities and different showbiz personalities are mourning the demise of the actress on Twitter.

Shivdasani was known in the Indian Film Industry for the blockbuster movies like Mera Saaya and Waqt. She was even nominated in 1964 for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress for her role in Woh Kaun Thi. Her portrayal in mystery thriller films like Anita, Woh Kaun Thi and Mera Saya gave her the title of "Mystery Girl." Different Bollywood celebrities like Lata Mangeshkar, Karan Johar and Anushka Sharma and used their Twitter accounts to mourn her death and few of the celebrities even remembered the iconic songs she was featured in.

The nightingale of India, Mangeshkar, paid the tribute to the actress for whom she has sung some superhit songs like "Lag Jaa Gale" and "Mera Saaya Sath Hoga." The critically acclaimed singer tweeted that she is extremely sorry to hear the news of Shivdasani's death.

Johar, who recently finished his shoot in London for his upcoming directorial venture, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, expressed his brief by tweeting that Shivdasani's legacy will stay forever.

In 1968, Shivdasani had health issues due to her thyroid problem, which she got treatment for at a hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. After returning to India, the actress signed up for a few blockbuster films like Intaquam, Ek Phool Do Mali and Geeta Mera Naam.

 

Even NH10 actress, Sharma, used her official Twitter handle to express her grief. The actress, who is dating Indian Cricketer Virat Kohli, wrote the famous lines from song "Lag Jaa Gale" to pay her tribute to the legendary actress.

In 2014, the actress was in the news for suffering from a tumor. She reportedly had a small lesion in her mouth that was cancerous and for the proper treatment, the actress went into surgery.
