Don Lemon is thinking about his next career move and CNN may not be in the picture. The controversial anchor is thinking about getting out of a traditional news role and exploring options for his own show. Don told Ad Week this week that ideally, he would like to have a show like Bill Maher or Chelsea Handler where he can speak freely, and drop F-bombs.

In the Out To Lunch interview with Adweek, Don Lemon stated his desire for the space to say whatever he'd like. The often talked about anchor revealed that his next career would be his own talk show inspired by a few existing talk show frameworks like the Comedy Central's The Daily Show.

"I think at some point, I will probably get out of traditional news," Lemon said, "and become either someone like a Bill Maher, with a show that has a point of view ... (though) I don't necessarily mean liberal.

In addition to the space to express his opinions more freely, he has an idea of exactly the type of show set up he would prefer.

Don explained his show would be "Like a Jon Stewart or Trevor Noah, but not so focused on the comedic part of it."

Lemons seemed to be most inspired by Chelsea Handler's show on E! Network with its panel set up and freedom of expression.

He envisioned a show "Where I could actually drop the F bomb, or where I could actually give my opinion without everyone screaming, 'you can't do that as a journalist!'"

With these lofty goals, CNN may not be the best fit for Lemon if he wants to expand his reputation as a fire-starter. As previously reported by MStarz, Don Lemon is no stranger to saying things that make people upset.
