Towel throwing: the tell tale sign of extreme anger. Stub your toe on a lego, find the nearest towel; spill hot soup on your bare thigh, find the nearest towel; get into a heated debate with your significant other about who did the dishes last, find the nearest towel. Towel throwing knows no boundaries, either. It's prevalent everywhere. The house, the mall, the car, the corner of 5th and Berkley. Heck, even an NBA arena. Take Markieff Morris, for example, who recently became irked in a game against the Denver Nuggets. He, of course, took out his frustration via towel. It hit his coach in the leg. An act that resulted in a two game suspension, and a loss of some $145,455 in game pay.

The question one must ask in this scenario is whether or not Morris' coach was the intended target or not; was he merely an innocent bystander, or was there more to it--was there malice involved? Morris maintains his innocence, claiming that it was nothing more than incidental contact. His coach, however, took some exception. He threw the towel back at the fifth-year forward.

Morris' relationship with his coach may have already been on rocky terms. Since his brother's departure from the team back in July, Markieff has expressed his desire to be traded. His performance has steadily declined ever since.

And while several teams have expressed interest in the big man, teams that include the Houston Rockets and New Orleans Pelicans, the asking price is too high to turn any small talk into a serious conversation. The recent incident doesn't exactly boost his trade value, either. Along with his suspension, Morris was benched, giving him less minutes and therefore less production.

The 26-year-old was the 13th overall selection by the Suns back in 2011. He enjoyed his best season last year, when he averaged just over 15 points and 6 rebounds per game. Comparatively, in Morris' 22 games thus far this year, he's averaging just 10 points and 5 rebounds.
