The sixth season of Game of Thrones will mark the return of Isaac Hempstead-Wright as Bran Stark, who has been training with the Three-Eyed Raven (to be played by Max von Sydow) so he can control his psychic powers. The young actor has just confirmed that his character will see events that happened in the past as well as the future, so here are five scenarios Stark could be tapping into in Season 6.

And yes, there will be some spoilers below!

The Death of Theon Greyjoy

Theon isn't exactly the most popular character in Game of Thrones after the alleged murder of Bran and his youngest brother Rickon; however, fans have slowly sympathized with the humiliated Ironborn that was broken by Ramsey Bolton. Although Theon may have finally redeemed himself after helping Sansa Stark escape in the last season finale, the end may be near for Balon Greyjoy's only surviving son.

In the sample chapter of George R.R. Martin's sixth A Song of Ice and Fire novel, the still alive Stannis Baratheon is planning to give Theon to the tree. What does this mean? Stannis intends to defeat the Boltons using blood magic, which requires the decapitation of someone with the blood of the king in front of a heart tree. Since Theon is the son of the King of the Iron Islands, he is the only likely candidate at the moment.

So how does Bran become a witness to the beheading? As a greenseer, the young Stark can see through the ravens and the heart trees. The chapter from The Winds of Winter already suggests that the ravens recognize Theon at the heart tree as they keep calling his name. There is a huge possibility that this will be an important scene that will show Bran's new powers.

The Resurrection of Jon Snow

It's no secret that Kit Harington will return to Game of Thrones; the teaser poster for the show's sixth season only showed Jon's bleeding face.

Bran had always shared a close bond with Snow, so there is a possibility that he will witness the death and resurrection of the former Lord Commander of the Night's Watch. However, there is a theory pointing to the possibility that Bran could be directly involved with Jon's return.

A fan theory has suggested that Bran will see the future and how important Jon will be to Westeros. Because of this, Bran decides to make use of Stannis' blood magic to resurrect Jon so he can fulfill his destiny. What is Jon destined to do? He could be the rightful ruler of the Seven Kingdoms.

Catelyn Stark and Lady Stoneheart

Fans have been waiting for the arrival of Lady Stoneheart for the past three seasons. Catelyn Stark, who has been resurrected by Thoros of Myr in the book, is one of the most cold-blooded characters in ASOIAF and is expected to dole out the much-needed revenge for everything that have happened to House Stark. But will Bran see her in one of his trips as a greenseer?

Michelle Fairley has previously been reported to be in Belfast, accompanied by the actor who played Catelyn's uncle. If Fairley will appear in Season 6, she will most likely appear in a flashback involving Bran's parents or the producers have finally listened to the fans' demands to see Lady Stoneheart in the series.

The Tourney at Harrenhal and The Abduction of Lyanna Stark

The next two entries have already been hinted upon in the show's first episode, when Mark Addy's King Robert Baratheon insisted on visiting Lyanna Stark's grave as soon as he arrives in Winterfell. But why didn't Robert end up marrying Lyanna before her death?

At the grand tourney in Harrenhal, Prince Rhaegar Targaryen was supposed to crown the queen of love and beauty and decided to snub his own wife to choose Lyanna. If this didn't seem suspicious, the Stark girl was later kidnapped by the prince. The abduction led to several hostile events throughout Westeros including Robert's Rebellion and one of the mysterious events in ASOIAF.

The Tower of Joy

We already know that this could be the major flashback scene of the sixth season. After all, it's hard to deny that the Zafra Castle, which is one of the main shooting locations for Season 6, looks a lot like the infamous Tower of Joy. But what exactly will Bran see in this flashback?

We may finally find out what happened to Bran's aunt Lyanna after she was allegedly kidnapped by Prince Rhaegar. After Robert and Ned track down where she has been taken, Robert the Usurper kills the prince while Ned discovers that his sister is dying in a pool of blood in the Tower of Joy. It is unclear how Lyanna actually died, so the flashback scene is expected to finally reveal the truth.

The truth might also shed some light (and confirm one of the most popular fan theories) on the parentage of Jon Snow, who is believed to be the offspring of Lyanna and Rhaegar, and not actually Ned's bastard. If Jon is indeed half-Targaryen, he could eventually become the rightful ruler of Westeros.
