WWE taped the December 31, 2015 episode of Thursday Night SmackDown on Tuesday in Washington D.C., and the main event pits Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose against Sheamus and Kevin Owens. We've got full spoilers from the show, so let's see what unfolds.

The New Day starts the show with a promo that includes party hats and other such wonderful nonsense. The Lucha Dragons cut them off and Sin Cara is in a sling after he injured himself on Monday Night Raw. They issue a challenge for New Day to fight their friends, who have come equipped with some tables. As you can probably guess, it's The Dudley Boyz.

Kalisto and the Dudleys earn the win when the luchador hits Salida Del Sol. Xavier Woods goes through a table after the match.

Tyler Breeze defeats Goldust. He announces after the match that he and Summer Rae are breaking up.

Braun Strowman and Luke Harper defeat The Usos when Strowman bear hugs one of the Usos to sleep.

Brie Bella and Alicia Fox defeat Naomi and Tamina Snuka when Brie pins Naomi. The crowd chants "We Want Sasha" during parts of this match.

Backstage, Bo Dallas walks around giving other wrestlers some "New Year's Res-Bo-Lutions." These included Curtis Axel, who is still claiming that he was never eliminated from the 2015 Royal Rumble, and Dolph Ziggler, who challenges Bo to a match. Ziggler wins the contest, though Bo gets some support from the crowd.

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns and WWE Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose defeat Sheamus and Kevin Owens by disqualification when Owens snaps. After the match, Owens tries to again powerbomb Ambrose through the announce table (as he did on Raw) while Sheamus holds Reigns and forces him to watch, but the babyfaces break free and chase off the heels to stand tall as the show goes off the air.
